Buying materials on a student budget has been quite difficult so I am now making my ceramic samples into functional objects I can eventually use! This series of buttons and hand-thrown mugs were my first experiments with pastel coloured slips where the coloured liquid clay was applied to the same hard clay body before its first firing.
