Start Suburbia, March 2010.

The final project of my degree is now in full swing... The theme of a 'home' and habitats I seem to have subconsciously used in alot of my work without ever truly realising. I am re-introducing the symbol of a 'home' into my ceramic work. Through my "Make Do and Mend Your Addictions" project I began to research 1950s post-war housing estates and this is a theme I am bringing back. Using the colour palette of 1950s advertisements and interior design I'm working on creating a suburbia where the forms are repeated to create a vast estate. They do appear almost like nests.
