These are my final working samples before the Easter break. The wooden homes were the templates which I made my plaster moulds from for the slip casting. However, having all my work sat together on my desk I've come to like the contrast between the glossy ceramics and matt wood and may include the mixture in the final work. It would also allow alot more houses to be made as the wood is a much quicker process.
Slip cast ceramic, 'high temp yellow' glaze, grey paint and wood.
Slip cast ceramic, 'olive green' glaze, textile fibre and wood.
Slip cast ceramic, 'high temp yellow' glaze, concrete, found dead flowers and wood.
Third home: slip cast ceramic, 'light blue'glaze and polystyrene chips.
